Early Life 

Christopher David Noth was born on the 13th of November, 1954, in Madison, Wisconsin. His mother was a news reporter, and his father was an insurance agent. 

Noth grew up in Connecticut with his older brothers. After his dad passed away in 1966, his mother remarried, and the family relocated to southern California in 1969. At the age of 15, he began taking LSD with his friends. 

Career 

In 1981, Noth made his big-screen debut with small roles ‘Cutter’s Way’ and ‘Waitress!,’ and he appeared in ‘Smithereens’ in 1982. In 1990, he landed his big break on ‘Law & Order’. While starring on the show, he appeared in films ‘Boyz n the Hood’ and ‘Naked in New York.’

Noth appeared in 41 episodes and reprised his role in two ‘Sex and the City Films’. The films grossed a combined $713 million at the box office.

In 2000, he co-starred with Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt in ‘Cast Away’. He portrayed the disgraced politician Peter Florrick in 101 episodes of ‘The Good Wife’ from 2009 to 2016. Around this time, he also appeared in the films ‘My One and Only,’ ‘3,2,1… Frankie Go Boom’ and ‘After the Ball’ and voiced Lex Luthor in ‘Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths’.
