Eddie “Flash” Newman

As a young man, Flash grew up in the time of martial arts legends.  He admired the “Greats”; Mr. Ed Parker Sr., Mr. Willy Brown, Master Gary “Rabbit” Goodman, Master Cecil Peoples, Master Jerry Smith and his father Master Steve Sanders a.k.a. Master Steve Mohammed.

By the time Flash was 16, his winning record was one of the highest among black belts in the country.  This was the time when all black belt fighters (all weight classifications) would battle it out for the Grand Championship.  He was also a four-time World Kickboxing Association World Champion, PKA US Champion, and was inducted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame.

Flash has been fighting for over 30 years and is one of the most winning martial arts fighters in the world.  Flash is currently a 9th degree black belt in Chinese Kenpo and a 5th degree black belt in Tai Kwon Do and Shotokan.

The Flash Academy Karate Creed
DISCIPLINE: The key ingredient for success in life is in the discipline of mind and body. Setting goals and making sure they are accomplished builds discipline. Whatever goal I set for myself, I will first get a mental image in my mind of exactly what it is I want to achieve, then I will be determined and persistent enough to overcome all obstacles that get in my way toward that goal. Finally, I will train or study accordingly until that goal is accomplished. Building Blocks of Discipline
